Dr. Joyce Young (Chan)

Dr. Young received her Bachelor of Science and DMD degrees from the University of British Columbia and has been practicing dentistry in the Lower Mainland since 2015. 

Her enthusiasm for her work, keen eye for detail and passion for patient satisfaction led her to open her own office, Karma Dental, in 2019. She took the term "hands on owner" to a new level with Karma Dental and was involved in every step of the construction including the design, project management and equipment selection (ask her about rebar remediation and concrete scanning!). 

A firm believer in continuing education, Dr. Young attends several study clubs in the Lower Mainland with a particular focus on restorative dentistry and implant surgery. Her gentle touch and easy going personality put patients of all ages at ease - so much so that they often fall asleep during treatment!

When not at the office, Dr. Young can be found wandering the aisles of Costco with her husband Peter, running, cooking and working towards an IGP title with her German Shepherd, Freddie!
